ART of MARA ROBERTS

I'm someone who pursues my interests very passionately, whether it be through extensive research or putting time into developing skills. Things like the study of other cultures, movies and comics, and even making costumes in real life, combine to form a base of knowledge and inspiration for my art. They provide me with different approaches to design challenges, like understanding how a piece of clothing would have to be constructed, or adding a deeper historical and cultural meaning in a design. This, in addition to my technical skills, make me a valuable addition to any project.

I graduated in 2022 with my BFA and have spent the last couple years doing freelance work for a variety of private and and commercial clients including work for social media and internal documents. I mostly work digitally in a painterly style, but I'm very comfortable adapting to and imitating other style. I'm also in the process of expanding into video editing, graphic design, and 3D modelling.
